You Gave Your Life to Jesus… What’s Next?

First—Congratulations!
Giving your life to Jesus is the greatest decision you’ll ever make. You’ve just stepped into a new life, full of hope, purpose, and God’s love.

Now that you’ve said “yes” to Jesus, here are some next steps to help you grow in your faith:

1. Talk to God Every Day (Prayer)

Prayer is simply talking to God. Tell Him how you’re feeling, thank Him, ask Him for help—He loves to hear from you! You don’t need fancy words, just a real heart.

2. Read the Bible (Even a Little at a Time)

The Bible is God’s Word—it shows you who He is and how He wants you to live. Start with the book of John or a kid-friendly Bible if you’re young. Even a few verses a day can help you grow.

Try using a bible app like You Version.  There are many out there.

3. Get Baptized

Baptism is an outward sign of your inward decision. It’s a public way of saying, “I belong to Jesus!” Ask your pastor how and when you can be baptized.

4. Go to Church and Join a Group

Surround yourself with other believers who can help you grow. Join the church, go to Sunday school, or connect with a small group. Faith grows best with others.

5. Serve Others

Jesus came to serve—and we can follow Him by doing the same. Help out at church, encourage a friend, or show kindness. When you serve, you shine His light.

6. Tell Someone About Jesus

You’ve got good news—don’t keep it to yourself! Share with a friend or family member what Jesus has done in your life.

7. Keep Growing—Even When It’s Hard

There will be ups and downs, but don’t give up. Jesus is always with you, and He’s not finished writing your story!

You are a new creation in Christ.
You are loved.
You are never alone.
And your journey with Jesus is just beginning!
